To strengthen our team in Spain, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineer, Firmware Development.  About the role: We are seeking an Engineer, Firmware Development to join our Valencia R&amp;D team. For this role, we are open to new grads or candidates with experience. The candidate will be integrated into a dynamic cross-functional team to develop communication systems for Smart Grid transformation, manufacturing yields and costs through creative thinking and innovative ideas. This full-time, remote position requires strong programming skills, a deep understanding of networking protocols, and a desire to develop embedded solutions for cutting-edge networking products. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Development of embedded firmware for real-time systems.</li><li>Specify and implement drivers, algorithms, and protocols to be integrated into our BPL communications system.</li><li>Responsible for low-level design, implementation and unit testing of key features in networking technologies</li><li>Participation in continuous improvement processes</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.</li><li>Strong computer programming skills:<ul><li>Good knowledge of software architecture, software development methodologies, and tools.</li><li>Good knowledge of C programming and network protocols.</li><li>Knowledge of low-level programming (OS core and drivers).</li><li>Knowledge of the GNU tool chain.</li><li>Knowledge of script programming (Python, bash).</li></ul></li><li>Good knowledge of IP networks and communication protocols.</li><li>Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, uC/OS, ThreadX)</li><li>Knowledge of embedded CPU architectures</li><li>Knowledge of Linux systems at an administration level</li><li>Strong desire to learn and develop deep skills in embedded software development for networking products</li><li>Proficient in written and spoken English.</li><li>Industry experience in embedded software development and communication systems will be an asset</li></ul></div>
