For this role, we are open to new grads or candidates with experience. Join a motivated multidisciplinary team running state-of-the-art validation processes for embedded systems, and passionate for automation, efficiency and continuous improvement, where Validation/Test Engineers provide high value to the product development and delivery chains. The candidate will be integrated into a dynamic, cross-functional, experienced team to develop communication systems for Smart Grid transformation. This full-time, remote position requires a strong background in embedded systems, networking, and software quality assurance. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and validating cutting-edge communication and networking solutions. You will work with hardware and software teams to ensure product reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.  Responsibilities:<ul><li>Participate in all project stages: design, implementation, hardware/system bring-up and system/product delivery of our BPL communications system.</li><li>Review product/system requirements.</li><li>Review system specifications.</li><li>Design test suites to measure product/system requirements quality indicators (KPIs).</li><li>Automate test suites at system level with scripting languages and lab instrumentation APIs.</li><li>Support and extend the existing regression system by maintaining test benches and regression tests to ensure and improve scalability, quality, reliability, robustness and accuracy of test results.</li><li>Execute, analyze and report results of Software and System Test Plans.</li><li>Increase coverage of the test plans.</li><li>Make the team grow by contributing to methods and procedures that boost efficiency and continuous improvement.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer.</li><li>Strong understanding of electronic circuit/logic design and hands-on experience with lab instrumentation (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, traffic generators &amp; analyzers, logic analyzers).</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.</li><li>Solid knowledge of IP networking and communication protocols.</li><li>Detail-oriented, methodical, and organized approach to testing.</li><li>Passion for efficiency and process optimization.</li><li>Willingness to learn new technologies and share knowledge within the team.</li><li>Fluent in English (written and spoken).</li><li>Certifications: ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or higher.</li><li>Software Quality &amp; Testing Standards: Familiarity with ISO 25000/25010/9126.</li><li>Linux as a development/work/administration environment.</li><li>RTOS embedded systems testing experience.</li><li>Signal theory for communication systems.</li><li>Scripting experience in TCL.</li><li>Experience with SCM tools (e.g., GIT, BitBucket).</li><li>Understanding of Requirements Engineering principles.</li><li>C programming experience.</li><li>Experience with communication systems (Ethernet, G.hn, WiFi).</li><li>Familiarity with Smart Grid technologies.</li></ul></div>
