Responsibilities / Tasks<ul><li>Formalize a detailed proposal based on the client’s requirements, best practices &amp; providing a well-engineered solution.</li><li>Conduct project Sales i.e., meeting with clients, establishing their requirements, developing a solution, costing the engineering scope, developing proposals, presentations, etc. and then presenting &amp; negotiating the proposal with the client(s).</li><li>Review solution and engineering for SANS compliance, engineering principles, GEA standards, client contract requirements and related specifications.</li><li>Conduct and arrange plant surveys to establish current installed equipment and to identify areas of improvement.</li><li>Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, engineering, operating &amp; maintenance documents.</li><li>Plan and implement a project program, including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and resource requirements, as per the project &amp; client requirement.</li><li>Evaluate engineering changes, specifications and drawing releases and update accordingly with the drawing and technical department.</li><li>Controlling external contractors to fulfil the task at a client site taking all Health &amp; Safety specifications into account.</li><li>Keep track of ETA’s, equipment delivered, and material required to meet deadlines.</li><li>Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design, operating, and maintenance documents based on sales contract.</li><li>Monitor quality of work carried out on site and ensure quality assurance of external contractors.</li><li>Prepare project completion documentation as hand over for client acceptance.</li><li>Ensure that pre-start up documentation and commissioning reports are completed by commissioning staff.</li><li>Monitor and report on sales &amp; project statistics. </li><li>Follow up and ensure that the invoicing and administrative closing of projects are completed.</li><li>Ensure that commissioning is done to GEA standards and within the performance requirement as per the sales contract.</li><li>Identify additional business opportunities.</li><li></ul>Your Profile / QualificationsMinimum Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering​</li><li>5 years within our industry (seasoned Artisan/FSE)</li><li>1-2 Years in Ammonia Refrigeration Design </li><li>5-7 Years in Ammonia Refrigeration Systems</li><li>Strong understanding of the Ammonia refrigeration process and the associated engineering</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.</li><li>Knowledge of SANS 10147 advantages</li><li>Very good communication skills</li><li>Good negotiation skills</li><li>Strong customer orientation with the focus on service delivery</li><li>Ability to engage with customers at different levels</li><li>Strong computer and communication skills (Microsoft excel, Microsoft project, AutoCAD etc)</li></ul>Did we spark your interest?
