We seek to revitalize the U.S. manufacturing base over the coming years and decades, creating substantial opportunities for our employees and the communities where we operate. Who are we looking for? We are seeking a versatile Wire Harness Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our design services business, collaborating closely with clients to understand their requirements and developing comprehensive wire harness design packages ready for manufacturing. This is an on-site / hybrid opportunity based at the Re:Build AppliedLogix development center in Rochester, NY.  Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. What you get to do!  <ul><li>Collaborate with clients to gather and understand design requirements for wire harnesses.  </li><li>Review and finalize any missing design inputs, ensuring all specifications are accurately captured.  </li><li>Utilize industry-leading Cadonix Arcadia software tools to create detailed wire harness designs and documentation.  </li><li>Ensure that every design complies with the relevant industry standards and client specifications.  </li><li>Work closely with manufacturing teams to provide necessary support during the production phase.  </li><li>Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to optimize designs for functional performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.  </li><li>Maintain thorough documentation throughout the design process. </li><li>Work in a team environment to develop and refine internal processes to improve design quality.  </li></ul> What you will bring to the team <ul><li>BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.  </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in wire harness design. </li><li>Familiarity with 3D CAD or Electrical Harness Design software (Solidworks Electrical, Zuken, Siemens Capital, etc.)</li><li>Experience with component selection and generating schematics and harness drawings.</li><li>Strong understanding of electrical first-principles, RF/ EMC considerations, wire routing, and wire harness assembly techniques.  </li><li>Familiarity and experience with industry standards and regulations related to wire harness design (e.g., UL, IPC, SAE)</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.  </li><li>Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality designs on schedule. </li></ul>Compensation Range: Annual salary for this position is expected to be between $116,000 to $150,000 plus participation in our annual bonus plan and long term incentive plan.
