The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager – Rail to lead the successful delivery of complex rail infrastructure projects. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing project teams, stakeholders, budgets, and timelines while ensuring safety, quality, and sustainability standards are met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of rail infrastructure projects from inception to completion

  • Manage multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and consultants

  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements

  • Monitor project performance, budgets, and schedules, implementing corrective actions as needed

  • Foster strong relationships with clients, government bodies, and community stakeholders

  • Champion sustainability and innovation in project delivery


Required Skills and Competencies

  • Experience on a Queensland Rail (QR) project within the last 2 years

  • 15+ years experience on Rail projects, preferably in Queensland

  • Knowledge and understanding of Overhead Line Equipment (OHLE), rail signalling, high and low voltage power. Recent experience within these elements is highly desirable.

  • Proven leadership abilities in developing high performing delivery teams.

  • Senior management-level experience managing the delivery and handover of complex, large scale rail projects successfully across time, cost, and quality dimensions

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline

  • Rail industry worker card
