The Vehicle Connectivity team works on Embedded Linux technologies to achieve critical vehicle functions like Internet Connectivity, Location Services, Mobile App Communication, Telemetry, Over-The-Air Software Updates for the Vehicle etc. These technologies are being pioneered in-house at Lucid and are at the cutting edge.</p><p>Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches to their work with determination. The individual will demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.</p><p><strong>Role Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Design and develop complex software for Telematics Control Unit</li><li>Develop framework and features for supporting connectivity, OTA, Cloud communication and location services</li><li>Architect software to work with multi-core processor environment</li><li>Provide design, development, and debug support for integrating individual functions into control unit</li><li>Ensure optimization of software through design reviews and code reviews</li><li>Develop a design and/or product validation test program to ensure robustness of design</li><li>Integrate with Cloud, Powertrain and Data Science teams</li><li>Collaborate with System engineering for software feature requirements, drive reviews for requirements and software design</li><li>Lead and resolve customer vehicle Telematics software issues with quick turn around time</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field is required.</li><li>10+ years of industry experience with C/C++ development</li><li>10+ years of industry experience with Linux Operating System, Networking protocols such as TCP/UDP, MQTT and system primitives such as Pthreads</li><li>Strong understanding of IPC Mechanisms – Sockets, Message Queues, Shared Memory, etc.</li><li>Experience with scripting languages/tools and methods to optimize SW development and testing activities.</li><li>Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design, Data Structures and Algorithms</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field is preferred </li><li>Working knowledge of Automotive Protocols such as CAN, UDS, etc</li><li>Experience in scripting languages such as Python is a plus</li><li>Experience in the field of Automotive Telematics Software is a big plusd</li><li>Experience writing Software Automotive Diagnostics is a plus</li><li>Strong Proficiency in Shell Scripting (Bash)</li></ul></div><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
