This requires both operational, hands-on involvement and the ability to operate as a credible member of the leadership team.HSE Procedures &amp; Communication<ul><li>Effectively communicate and implement established HSE procedures within defined business areas.</li><li>Ensure effective communication and consultation with all employees on HSE matters.</li><li>Adapt communication style to different audiences—frontline staff, site leadership, and global stakeholders—to ensure understanding and engagement.</li><li>Proactively engage with the Site Management Team and Divisional leadership, acting as a trusted partner on HSE strategy and decision-making.</li></ul>HSE System Oversight &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Provide high-level support for the HSE management systems.</li><li>Monitor effectiveness through internal audits and inspections.</li><li>Maintain defined and agreed internal audit schedules and provide reports.</li><li>Deliver monthly reports that interpret HSE performance data into actionable insights and continual improvement plans to the Divisional Management Team.</li><li>Support third-party audits relating to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Energy standards.</li></ul>Training, Culture &amp; Leadership Engagement<ul><li>Provide HSE training and support across all levels of the organisation.</li><li>Support the continuous development of a proactive safety culture at all levels by influencing leadership behaviours and embedding accountability.</li><li>Provide coaching and guidance to managers and supervisors to strengthen ownership of HSE responsibilities.</li></ul>Incident Management<ul><li>Conduct incident and near-miss investigations to identify root causes and implement preventative controls.</li><li>Develop and improve standard incident reduction programs and present findings/trends to the leadership team in a business-relevant way.</li></ul>Site Management – Eastleigh<ul><li>Take primary responsibility for HSE management at the Eastleigh facility, including associated Project and Service activities.</li><li>Conduct facility risk assessments and deliver new starter inductions.</li><li>Act as the sole on-site HSE SME, balancing operational delivery with strategic leadership-level input.</li></ul>Collaboration &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Participate in country-level HSE meetings.</li><li>Support Global and UK HSE sustainability reporting and initiatives.</li><li>Provide management information that links site-level performance with wider UK &amp; IE and global objectives.</li></ul>Facilities &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Maintain the facilities maintenance register.</li><li>Support the UK and Global waste registers in compliance with requirements.</li></ul>Your Profile / Qualifications<ul><li>NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety (essential)</li><li>Strong HSE experience (essential)</li><li>Engineering background preferred, ideally with exposure to manufacturing or facilities environments</li><li>Sound knowledge of relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation</li><li>Familiarity with industry best practices, ISO standards, and British Standards—preferably within the Integrated Facilities Management sector</li><li>Demonstrable experience partnering with senior leadership teams and influencing at a strategic level</li><li>Proven ability to practically implement and monitor HSE policies, especially in a manufacturing setting, and translate data and reports into actionable insights</li><li>Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage tasks effectively</li><li>Confident communicator—both written and verbal—with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt style to different audiences</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (experience with reporting tools advantageous)</li><li>Self-motivated and proactive, with a high level of personal accountability</li><li>Professional, approachable, and assertive in working with stakeholders at all levels</li><li>Collaborative and capable of working cross-functionally with multiple teams</li></ul>Did we spark your interest?
