You will be a key member of our dynamic legal team, responsible for a diverse portfolio of litigation matters (including commercial, privacy and intellectual property disputes) and providing sharp, actionable advice on complex regulatory questions. You will be a true generalist, with a primary focus on litigation and dispute resolution, but with the intellectual curiosity to tackle novel regulatory challenges.What You'll Do<ul><li>Manage all phases of litigation, including commercial disputes, auto liability claims, cutting-edge patent litigation and other matters. This includes developing case strategy, overseeing discovery, drafting motions and pleadings, and managing outside counsel.</li><li>Represent the company in pre-litigation mediations and arbitrations to achieve favorable resolutions.</li><li>Develop internal processes, policies, and tools to support insurance-backed litigation and regulatory matters efficiently and at scale.</li><li>Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to our Operations, Partnerships, and Product teams on a wide range of regulatory and compliance issues at the local, state, and federal levels.</li><li>Conduct thorough and efficient legal research and analysis on novel questions of law arising from our innovative business models.</li><li>Monitor new legislation and regulations that could impact our operations and advise the business on potential impacts.</li><li>Support the Legal team in a variety of other areas, including responding to third-party subpoenas and requests for information.</li></ul>Who You Are<ul><li>You have a J.D. from a top-tier, accredited law school and are admitted to the bar and in good standing in at least one U.S. state (New York preferred).</li><li>4+ years minimum of relevant legal experience, including significant litigation work at a leading law firm, in a sophisticated in-house legal department, or with a government agency.</li><li>Impeccable written and oral communication skills; you can distill complex legal concepts into clear, concise advice for a non-legal audience.</li><li>A proven ability to think strategically, solve problems, and exercise sound legal and business judgment.</li><li>Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to independently manage multiple high-stakes projects in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>A collaborative, team-first attitude with a passion for our mission.</li></ul>What Catches Our Eye<ul><li>Direct experience in the transportation, mobility, or technology sectors.</li><li>Experience with employment, labor relations, insurance defense, securities regulation and compliance, or complex commercial litigation preferred but not required.</li><li>Prior in-house experience at a high-growth technology company.</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits:<ul><li>Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
