As a Technical Specialist in Vehicle Dynamics Development, you will support the testing, tuning, development and validation of the best riding and handling vehicles in the world. You will work alongside other development and CAE engineers, mechanical and software engineers and system owners, key stakeholders and management across the company, to develop and deliver world-class suspension, steering, braking, wheel/tire and vehicle dynamics systems from concept to production.

Responsibilities:

· Being the key vehicle dynamics stakeholder for chassis controls feature roadmap to enable attribute fulfillment

· Contributing to vehicle attribute target definition

· Delivering systems which enable the vehicle to achieve its attribute targets

· Testing, tuning, measurement and data analysis of key attributes at component, system and vehicle level

· Objective and subjective analysis of attributes, on Lucid and benchmark vehicles

· Working closely with CAE teams from across the business to make efficient, timely, data-driven decisions

· Ownership of Dynamics development vehicles - ensuring that they are operational, representative, well understood and fit for purpose

· Work with multiple complex projects in a demanding environment

· Travel domestically and internationally as required

· A strong desire to create state-of-the-art engineering products as an integral part of a very capable team

Qualification:

· Generally, requires 8+ years of related experience.

· Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics principles

· Experience in both objective and subjective assessment, data acquisition and analysis

· Experience in tuning several of the following: coil springs, air springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, bushings, tires, suspension control software, electric power steering, stability control, torque vectoring systems, and other dynamics-related control systems

· Knowledge of the basic principles of ADAMS, CarRealTime, CarMaker, CarSim or similar

· Understanding of Matlab/Simulink fundamentals

· Familiarity with Python, C++

· Advanced driving qualifications are advantageous

Advantageous:

· Experience in chassis controls feature definition and development

· Desire for continual learning

· Excellent problem-solving ability, using fundamental principles and data-driven decision making

Education

· BS/BEng or MS/MEng, or equivalent experience, in Mechanical Engineering

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$161,900—$237,380 USD
