Dry Utilities - Electrical Engineer

About the Job
Here is what you will do:
1. Electrical Design & Engineering:
Design and layout of medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) power distribution systems for utilities, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings.
Planning, design, and coordination of dry utility systems — including electrical power (medium and low voltage), telecommunications, street lighting, emergency power, fire detection, and other auxiliary systems for commercial, and industrial developments.
Prepare one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, grounding systems, panel schedules, and conduit/cable routing.
Develop electrical installation drawings for substations, switchgear rooms, MCCs, transformers, and distribution boards.
2. Medium Voltage Installation Expertise:
Design and support implementation of MV networks (up to 36kV) including switchgear, RMUs, transformers, and MV cabling.
Coordinate with utility companies for grid connection requirements and ensure compliance with utility standards.
Review MV installation practices and arc flash safety compliance.
3. 3D Modeling & BIM Coordination:
Create and manage 3D BIM models using Revit MEP, integrating electrical designs into multidisciplinary plant and building layouts.
Use AutoCAD Plant 3D to model industrial electrical layouts in coordination with piping and mechanical systems.
Participate in clash detection processes and model coordination sessions using BIM platforms (e.g., BIM 360, ACC).
4. Technical Deliverables & Documentation:
Perform load calculations, short circuit studies, voltage drop analysis, equipment sizing, technical specifications, bill of materials in compliance with standards
Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and client-facing documents.
5. Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Quality Assurance:
Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, civil, and process engineering disciplines.
Conduct QA/QC reviews of drawings, models and participate in design reviews client requirements.
6. Project Execution Support:
Provide engineering support during construction, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
Contribute to project scheduling and budgeting for engineering scopes.
