Nextpower is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist in Saudi Arabia to develop and manage its local supply chain as local supply becomes more strategic.The Manufacturing Engineering department is responsible for driving the industrialization, ramp‑up and continuous improvement of the steel processes and supplier network through deploying category/region/supplier-specific strategies and establishing strategic relationships with core suppliers.He/She will also be responsible to ensure correct execution of all the activities related to define, develop and launch a new or improved product or supplier.We are looking for someone who demonstrates:<ul><li>Passionate drive to innovate and create </li><li>Integrity to the core</li><li>Enthusiastic customer focus</li><li>Consistent interactive teamwork </li><li>Desire for continuous improvement and top performance </li><li>Organized and structured</li></ul>Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…<ul><li>Lead technical qualification efforts to support product launches. Focus will balance quality, customer satisfaction, cost, and sustainability</li><li>Coordinate product management, engineering, quality, project engineering, applications engineering and vendors to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs</li><li>Identify, and analyze problems, taking the initiative to implement improvements identified with a recognized business benefit</li><li>Lead cost reduction initiatives for assigned suppliers</li><li>Coordinate the day-to-day activities required to deliver all projects and deliverables on time</li><li>Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues; own root‑cause analysis and corrective actions, documenting results</li><li>Host recurring project meetings and deliver status updates to all stakeholders</li><li>Actively participate in meetings and business development opportunities as needed</li><li>Internal customer voice; an advocate for the customer</li><li>Visit frequently suppliers and keep track of execution performance</li></ul>Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…<ul><li>Advanced Negotiation skills</li><li>Experience with Saudi steel manufacturers and manufacturing process and regulations</li><li>Experience in CM or OEM manufacturing including two years working regularly with one or more factories on process development, DFM, tooling readiness, and product launches</li><li>Experience in at least two of the following processes: stamping, drilling, laser cutting, tube bending, or welding</li><li>Solid structuring and analytical skills to keep track of multiple projects and vendors, in an international and multicultural environment.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint</li><li>Ability to report and present a strategy at executive level</li><li>Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)</li><li>Fluent oral and written communications at least in English and Arabic</li><li>Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills as a significant part of the team and suppliers are remote</li><li>Results orientated and demonstrated ability to think out of the box to drive results</li><li>Ability to handle ambiguity and respond quickly and flexibly</li><li>Autonomous</li><li>Availability to travel on a regular basis</li></ul>Here are a few of our preferred experiences…<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or higher)</li><li>8–10 years’ experience in heavy‑steel fabrication with proven ownership of equipment installation and volume ramp‑up</li><li>Experience working in a multicultural environment</li></ul>At Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
