About the Job

Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company dedicated to advancing sustainable impact and empowering the people who make water work every day. As a leading water technology company with 23,000 employees operating in over 150 countries, Xylem is at the forefront of addressing the world's most critical water challenges. We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.

The Role:

Xylem is hiring for Sr BI and Data Reporting Analyst with strong SQL skills, Power BI experience, and a data first mindset. In this role you will own the data layer, build efficient pipelines, clean up legacy schema issues and work towards making it easier for others to report data accurately and quickly. You will be the go-to person for analytics, reporting, and database clarity.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize data models that support self-service reporting

  • Own the structure and performance of core reporting tables and views

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, visuals, and semantic models

  • Write complex SQL across multiple systems (ERP, CRM, finance) to clean, join, and shape data

  • Define and document metrics, KPIs, and business logic for reuse

  • Troubleshoot reporting issues at the database layer, not just in visuals

  • Improve data workflows, reduce duplication, and simplify downstream reporting

  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues in data pipelines and dashboard

NOTE: Xylem does not provide visa sponsorship for this position

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or similar

  • 5+ years' experience in data analytics, BI development, or a similar role with hands on development

  • Advanced SQL skills (CTEs, window functions, query tuning)

  • Strong Power BI skills (DAX and Power Query/M)

  • Understanding of finance, inventory, sales, or manufacturing data

  • Experience with database normalization and schema design

  • Able to work independently and own a problem from start to finish

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PostgreSQL experience strongly preferred

  • Experience fixing or redesigning poorly structured data tables

  • Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation

  • Exposure to ERP and CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)

  • Comfortable working in hybrid business/IT teams with minimal supervision

Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use. Our products impact public utilities, industrial sectors, residential areas, and commercial buildings, with a commitment to providing smart metering, network technologies, and advanced analytics for water, electric, and gas utilities. Partner with us in creating a world where water challenges are met with ingenuity and dedication; where we recognize the power of inclusion and belonging in driving innovation and allowing us to compete more effectively around the world.

At Xylem, you'll not only contribute to solving water issues but also have the chance to make a difference through our paid Volunteer Program, Xylem Watermark. We prioritize our employees' well-being through inclusion and belonging as well as our Employee Resource Groups (ERG). Proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity (including disability and veterans) and Affirmative Action workplace, Xylem fosters an inclusive environment free from discrimination or harassment.
