A Golang Software Engineer F/H

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to develop and improve our geospatial platform.

This  platform is developed internally to fasten the build of new geospatial data products. It supports Data Scientists and Data Engineers on their daily basis work by providing a simple solution to:

●        Collaborate, share and publish algorithms and data

●        Serve geospatial data at scale

●        Develop end-to-end event-based geospatial pipelines

As an experienced software engineer, you will collaborate and participate in the design and development of the system.

Technical stack

●        Golang

●        PostgreSQL / PostGIS

●        AWS S3/SQS/RDS/IAM/Lambda

●        Kubernetes

●        Python

What you will do:

●        Implement, test and document medium to large features autonomously

●        Design major independent features of the software

●        Solve moderate to complex problems

●        Maintain and monitor code in production

●        Write and conduct POC on new technologies that could have a positive impact on the system

●        Learn and improve your knowledge in the geospatial field

●        Provide constructive and qualitative code review to keep high quality code and architecture

●        Collaborate with other employee of Kayrros to gather feedback and improve the current solution

Who you are:

●        You have a 5-10 years of experience as a software engineer

●        Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, python, Java…), Go being a plus

●        Strong knowledge in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, …)

●        Experience in API/software development

●        Working experience with a Cloud solution (AWS/GCP/…), AWS being a plus

●        Autonomous and able to rapidly learn new skills and technologies

●        Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective technical specification

●        Languages: English is mandatory

What would be a plus:

●        Knowledge in geospatial: PostGIS, STAC, MVT …

●        Knowledge in LLM/AI architecture

●        Experience in a Startup/Fast-growing tech company
