The custom nature of their system solutions and the engineered-to-order development cycle for solar projects typically gives Shoals a 12+ month lead time to quote, engineer, produce, and ship each order. Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting in the review and analysis of financial reports. They will support the senior accounting team with day-to-day tasks and contribute to the overall accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in preparation of company financial statements by analyzing general ledger information and preparing or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes within defined company schedules, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and flux analyses.</li><li>Assist in posting and coding transactions in appropriate general ledger accounts.</li><li>Manage employees and processes related to accounts payable and accounts receivable.</li><li>Review accounting transactions to ensure accuracy of information and calculations.</li><li>Maintain the fixed asset register, including recording fixed asset additions and disposals.</li><li>Review monthly depreciation calculations and journal entries.</li><li>Reconcile fixed asset accounts and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.</li><li>Review capital expenditure requests for accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.</li><li>Summarize expenses to be added to employees’ Forms W-2.</li><li>Conduct ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested.</li><li>Support the SOX compliance by reviewing control documentation prepared by accounting staff.</li><li>Prepare flux analyses for income statement and balance sheet accounts.</li><li>Provide support for internal and external audits.</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and make recommendations for process improvements.</li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA a plus)</li><li>At least seven years’ experience in accounting or a related field</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Self-starter able to achieve tasks with minimal guidance</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel</li><li>Experience with accounting software preferred.</li><li>Great Plains Dynamics experience a plus</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul> Shoals Technologies Group, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
