THE ROLE: The Assembler will be responsible for a being a member of the Manufacturing team in Holland, MI. In this role, the incumbent will also demonstrate the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that operational initiatives are met. This role will work second shift.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.

  • Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality. 

  • Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence

  • Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination 

  • May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products

  • Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread taping

  • Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures

  • Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site 

  • Completes required documentation related to production 

  • Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities

  • Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings 

  • Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Highly Preferred high school education or GED
