About the Role
GEA Group is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious  Material Handler to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our warehouse operates efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company and safety standards. You’ll be responsible for inventory management, order fulfillment, material handling, and maintaining accurate records—all while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately to meet delivery timelines.

  • Material Handling: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and palletizers for efficient storage and retrieval.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate inventory records, track shipments, and prepare operational reports.

  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to company policies and uphold all safety protocols.

  • Customer Service: Address order and material handling inquiries to ensure high customer satisfaction.


Your Profile / Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in warehouse operations or material handling preferred.

  • Experience: Previous warehouse experience with expertise in inventory management and equipment operation. A minimum of 1 year of forklift experieince

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items safely; stand/walk for extended periods.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in all inventory and shipping activities.

  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies or process inefficiencies.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic data entry.

  • Equipment Operation: Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse machinery.

  • Time Management & Flexibility: Meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Communication: Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.

  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoor temperatures.


The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $20-$22 per hour.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.


The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.  You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
