Formulation & Particle Characterization Scientist

Eurofins PSS is seeking a Scientist to support a client’s formulation and process development team focused on biotherapeutics. This lab-based role involves performing particle characterization and supporting formulation development from preclinical through commercialization stages. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with biophysical and biochemical techniques and a strong understanding of biologics.

Key Responsibilities

• Support formulation development for biotherapeutics including monoclonal antibodies, ADCs, proteins, mRNA, and vaccines.

• Perform particle and stability characterization using techniques such as:

  • DLS, DSC, SEM

  • HPLC (SE-HPLC, IEX, HIC, RP-HPLC)

  • Capillary electrophoresis (CGE, iCE)

  • Spectroscopy, light obscuration, microflow imaging

• Assist with lab operations: ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and participating in lab inspections.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize formulations and support candidate progression.

• Compile and present data; support documentation including reports and SOPs.

• Use lab-based systems such as Empower and electronic lab notebooks for data collection and tracking.

• Communicate effectively with scientists, project managers, and cross-functional colleagues
