Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!<h1>Responsibilities:</h1><ul><li>Provide functional expertise and guidance on network solutions designs;</li><li>Operate and support the hybrid IT network infrastructure (on-premises &amp; cloud), including firewalls, switches, routing, SD-WAN, VPN and WLAN;</li><li>Administrate and further develop global network architectures in a complex IT environment with Cisco, Fortinet and other products;</li><li>Participate in IT projects – from technical conception and administrative support to operational implementation;</li><li>Ensure network availability and security through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization;</li><li>Third-level support and management of rollouts and migrations;</li><li>Contribute to the definition and implementation of global IT standards as well as participate in corporate-wide committees (e.g. security policies, network structures);</li><li>Document and continuous improve deployed systems and processes.</li></ul><h1>Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field;</li><li>Several years of solid practical experience in the implementation, operation and optimization of complex network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN);</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS, configuring virtual networks, routing, security services, and hybrid connectivity;</li><li>In-depth technical knowledge of IP networks, switching (L2/L3), VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, EIGRP);</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge with firewall and proxy technologies based on Fortinet products;</li><li>Ideally experience with FortiAnalyzer;</li><li>Ideally network certifications (e.g., CCNA);</li><li>Knowledge of 802.1x endpoint security, Zscaler and MS Entra Access solutions desirable;</li><li>Technical leadership competencies (e.g. input on IT architecture);</li><li>Fluent in English, German is an advantage;</li><li>Structured, self-reliant working style and a high level of customer orientation;</li><li>Effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners on IT infrastructure projects;</li><li>Reliability, accountability, team spirit, and a proactive attitude;</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills.</li></ul>The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
