Job Description
Albemarle is hiring for an Automation & Reporting Specialist.
The Quality & Compliance Team is dedicated to support the Operational Teams to become a best-in-class accounting services provider and an integral part of corporate controlling at RtR,
Your assignment as Automation & Reporting Specialist will be to drive the RtR reporting agenda by operating & improving the already existing reports (Downstream, Upstream & Closing Huddle Dashboard) as well as introducing new reports when needed; to deliver automation solutions (including coding documentation & user training) as part of CI / standardization projects initiated by RtR.
What You Will Do
Owner of the RtR metric portfolio
Identify & deliver improvements and/or automation opportunities on the reports of the portfolio
Offer interpretation and insights with root cause analysis on report results
Work closely with CI & Metric Management Specialist to fully understand the RtR reporting agenda
Develop new reports based on future requirements
Support completion of ad-hoc reporting requests received by RtR
Owner of automation for RtR
Act as a Single Point of Contact for any automation projects impacting RtR coming from outside of the department
Provide consultation on automation initiatives from technical perspective
Support design creation for automation solutions
Deliver VBA automation solutions
Perform functional testing; create test scenarios for user testing
Deliver proper coding documentation to enable futureproof operation of VBA solutions
Deliver end-user documentation and training
What You Bring
Required:
Bachelor’s or Master Degree in business analysis, programming, data analysis or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum 1-2 years in the relevant field (BI Dashboards, SuperQueries, VBA)
Bachelor’s or Master Degree in business analysis, programming, data analysis or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum 1-2 years in the relevant field (BI Dashboards, SuperQueries, VBA)
IFRS and /or EU GAAP experience, exposure to US GAAP is a plus
Advanced communication level in English (both written and verbal)
Experience in VBA, Power Pivot, Power Query or other reporting tools
Data visualization experience; knowledge of BI tools (e.g.: MS Power BI, SAP Fiori)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
Self-motivated and have ability to work with limited supervision in fast-paced, small team start-up environment
Strong problem-solving skills
Clearly communicate with non-technical colleagues
Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
Advanced communication level in English (both written and verbal)
Experience in VBA, Power Pivot, Power Query or other reporting tools
Data visualization experience; knowledge of BI tools (e.g.: MS Power BI, SAP Fiori)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
Self-motivated and have ability to work with limited supervision in fast-paced, small team start-up environment
Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred:
Having good understanding of GL transactional processes
IFRS and /or EU GAAP experience, exposure to US GAAP is a plus
