Openstead is an early-stage climate finance startup. Our ambition is to make urban nature-based solutions a mainstream investment class by providing the financial intelligence needed to scale green infrastructure as essential climate infrastructure. We're looking for a talented founding engineer to join our team and take ownership of our technical development. As a key member of the founding team, you'll work directly with the founder to shape product direction and lead our technical strategy. Your focus will be on building and scaling our existing data processing and modelling capabilities while developing user-friendly interfaces that make climate risk assessment accessible and actionable.

Climate adaptation is an urgent priority, yet nature-based solutions in cities remain drastically underfunded (despite their proven effectiveness), because their financial benefits to asset owners and insurers are difficult to quantify. This disconnect leaves billions in urban assets under-protected and insurance mispriced.Openstead solves this by identifying where strategic green infrastructure can reduce risks such as flooding and overheating, and by translating that impact into credible financial terms.
