Founded in 2019,</strong><strong> we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.</strong></p></div></div></div></div></div></div><p>  </p><p><strong>Essential Duties:</strong></p><p>The Production Engineer, Mechanical at Redwood Materials is critical to growing and sustaining commercial operations in the battery recycling line at the McCarran, NV, USA site. The role will assist with troubleshooting and solving equipment issues alongside the operations and maintenance teams as issues arrive on the line. This role will help implement both short-term remediation actions and long-term permanent solutions to improve throughput, operability, and reliability of the line.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities Include:</strong></p><ul><li>Troubleshoot and solve process and equipment issues as they arise, collaborating with operations and maintenance teams</li><li>Provide technical support for abnormal and non-routine operation</li><li>Monitor line health and analyze process data to improve production line performance and quality</li><li>Implement new data collection technology to better track and optimize production performance</li><li>Create and modify process work instructions and standard operating procedures</li><li>Train production operation teams on new processes and equipment</li><li>Organize and monitor plant testing and product trials</li><li>Identify and execute continuous improvement projects</li><li>Lead and support incident investigations</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.</li><li>3 - 7 years of experience in an industrial plant operations environment</li><li>Strong organizational and project management skills; previous project management experience preferred.</li><li>Experience with industrial scale processes and equipment, including automation.</li><li>Modeling 3D CAD experience preferred.</li><li>A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Physical Requirements: </strong></p><ul><li>Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity standards</li><li>Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance in line with ADA, FMLA, and applicable standards</li><li>Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety gloves, helmets, and eyewear, or additional PPE when required</li><li>Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone</li><li>Must be able to use a full-face respirator and powered air purifying respirator (PAPR)</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions: </strong></p><ul><li>Comfortable working around hazardous waste and hazardous materials with appropriate PPE</li><li>Some equipment is located outdoors</li><li>Exposure to loud noise, extreme heat or cold, dust, fumes, or hazardous chemicals</li><li><span>Day shifts available:</span><ul><li><strong>A Shift</strong>: 6:00am – 6:00pm, Sunday – Tuesday (every other Wednesday)</li><li><strong>C Shift</strong>: 6:00am – 6:00pm, Thursday – Saturday (every other Wednesday)</li></ul></li></ul><div><p><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">The position is full-time.
