As a Business Development Manager, you’ll not only prospect and engage decision-makers but also coach and mentor a team of 2-3 Business Development Representatives. What You Will Do </h3> Lead and Develop the Business Development Team <ul> <li> Mentor and coach Business Development Representatives to drive performance, providing guidance on best practices and strategic outreach. </li> <li> Conduct regular training sessions on prospecting techniques, messaging/positioning, CRM usage, and pipeline management. </li> <li> Inspire the team with a growth-focused mindset, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and collaboration. </li> </ul> Build and Grow the Pipeline <ul> <li> Lead by example with hands-on prospecting through cold calls, emails, and social selling. </li> <li> Own and enhance lead databases, using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo to ensure team efficiency. </li> <li> Strategically design and execute integrated, multi-channel inside sales campaigns, leveraging tools like Salesloft. </li> <li> Qualify leads using BANT and ensure high-quality handoffs to the sales team. </li> <li> Leverage strategic events by securing key meetings and progressing account plans. </li> </ul> Drive Measurable Results, Reporting and Analytics <ul> <li> Develop, track, and report on weekly Inside Sales Metrics, including conversion rates, lead follow-up times, and sales team productivity. </li> <li> Reporting &amp; Dashboard Creation: Experience in creating and delivering weekly sales dashboards to track sales activity, conversions, and marketing effectiveness. </li> <li> Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and the cadence and performance of BDR outreach to drive lead generation. </li> <li> Create performance dashboards and automated reporting to track key sales, marketing, and business development KPIs. </li> <li> Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Leadership to identify trends and recommend data-driven strategies for performance optimization. </li> <li> Maintain and update accurate and relevant sales and marketing reports, ensuring data quality and consistency across all systems. </li> </ul> Targeted Outreach and Relationships: <ul> <li> Develop and execute strategic outreach campaigns with your team, ensuring a personalized approach to key accounts. </li> <li> Research target accounts and decision-makers, ensuring the team’s outreach is highly relevant and effective. </li> <li> Build lasting relationships with key prospects while coaching your team to do the same. </li> </ul> <ul> <li> </li> </ul> <h3>Skills and Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li> Confident, driven sales leader with track record of measurable success. </li> <li> 5-7 years in sales or business development including experience in B2B or SaaS, with experience as a high-performing team lead driving pipeline growth. </li> <li> At least 2 years of Sales Management experience managing Bus Dev reps with a track record of exceeding sales targets </li> <li> Demonstrated the ability to lead and develop a team while maintaining your own high performance. </li> <li> Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels while coaching others to do the same. </li> <li> Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering continuous improvement and learning for both yourself and your team. </li> <li> Ability to compile and report on key metrics such as conversion rates, lead qualification, and sales funnel performance. </li> <li> Strong experience with sales performance metrics, reporting, and analysis. </li> <li> Expertise in sales-marketing tech stack for outreach, tracking and analytics tools to monitor sales and marketing performance. Knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Salesloft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a must.
