Success in this position will depend heavily on team development and cultivating a high-performance culture. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and implement and integrate procurement strategies: Design and execute comprehensive procurement strategies that align with business objectives and category strategies that will drive productivity, resilience &amp; product margin improvement.</li><li>Supplier management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services at competitive prices.</li><li>Spend management: Oversee the management of an $802 million annual spend, ensuring budget compliance, cost control, and financial performance.</li><li>Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a high impact culture, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Risk management: Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, and supplier performance to ensure business continuity.</li><li>Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and engineering teams, to align procurement activities with business needs and objectives.</li><li>Performance metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Closely integrate with Operations, Engineering and Product Management to implement new products and redesign’s introductions into production.</li><li>80/20:  Partner with segment leadership to drive Xylem’s 80/20 transformation while playing a visible and impactful role in the Product Line Simplification workstream. </li><li>Simplification: Partner with category management and operations to reduce SQUs and drive consolidation of spend towards strategic suppliers.</li><li>Sustainability: Drive Xylem’s sustainability goals including but not limited to Watermark, Supplier Diversity, Ecovadis, CDP and Xylem’s 2030 water goals.</li></ul>Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li>Cost: Achieve savings objectives and manage working capital contributions, including payment terms and community metrics.</li><li>Performance: Guarantee suppliers meet quality standards and on-time delivery goals.</li><li>Technology: Ensure access to supplier-driven technologies and innovations.</li><li>Savings Funnel: Generate a substantial pool of ideas with impacts extending beyond the current fiscal year.</li><li>Execute and promote the implementation of Coupa, SAP S4 and other digital procurement initiatives.</li></ul>Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, materials or logistics management, engineering or a related field.
