AECOM is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer for a major Roads and Bridges project located in Dubai. The Electromechanical Engineer will be a key member of AECOM’s supervision team for infrastructure projects in Dubai, overseeing the installation, testing, commissioning, and coordination of all electromechanical works. This includes pumping stations, street lighting systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), tunnel/station MEP works, traffic signal systems, and associated control and automation systems.Job DutiesConstruction Supervision &amp; Quality Control<ul><li>Supervise and inspect electromechanical works on-site, including electrical, mechanical, control, and instrumentation systems.</li><li>Review and comment on shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, ITPs, and as-built drawings for all electromechanical components.</li><li>Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for key equipment such as pumps, switchgear, control panels, SCADA systems, traffic signals, and ITS devices.</li><li>Ensure all works comply with relevant standards ( DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, IEC, and other applicable codes).</li><li>Identify and report non-conformances, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure resolution prior to system handover.</li></ul>Coordination &amp; Interface Management<ul><li>Liaise with , DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, DU, and other authorities for inspections, approvals, and NOCs.</li><li>Coordinate with the Contractor’s electromechanical team and other discipline engineers to resolve technical and interface issues.</li><li>Ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems with civil works and other project disciplines.</li></ul>Testing, Commissioning &amp; Handover<ul><li>Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring they meet approved procedures and performance requirements.</li><li>Review and verify O&amp;M manuals, training materials, and spare parts lists submitted by the Contractor.</li><li>Assist in punch list preparation, system performance verification, and final handover of electromechanical systems.</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, commissioning activities, and equipment deliveries.</li><li>Prepare daily and weekly reports on electromechanical works progress, key issues, and milestones achieved.</li><li>Support claims review and variation order assessments related to electromechanical works.</li></ul>Technical &amp; Problem-Solving<ul><li>Provide technical support to site inspectors and junior engineers.</li><li>Proactively identify and resolve technical problems to avoid delays and cost overruns.</li><li>Support value engineering initiatives for electromechanical systems to optimize cost and efficiency.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.</li><li>Valid UAE Society of Engineers membership preferred.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electromechanical works supervision for major infrastructure or transportation projects.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in Dubai with proven track record in RTA or government authority projects.</li><li>Prior experience in installation and commissioning of pumping stations, traffic signal systems, ITS, street lighting, and tunnel/station MEP works.</li><li>Experience in interfacing with multiple stakeholders and authority bodies.</li></ul>
