As a Senior Accountant, you will assist in managing the monthly financial close process, be responsible for analyzing financial statement fluctuations, support preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, and support external audits. The position also requires researching complex accounting issues and collaborating with various teams across the company to streamline processes.About the Work <ul><li>Assist in managing the monthly close process for assigned areas, including preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.</li><li>Help develop and maintain the process for revenue recognition and cost of revenue tracking within the Oracle ERP system.</li><li>Prepare quarterly/annual financial statements, footnotes and related tie-outs, including the coordination of necessary supporting documentation.</li><li>Analyze monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.</li><li>Support the external audit process, including preparation of audit requests and serving as a point of contact for auditors.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&amp;A, Legal, Engineering and other teams to streamline processes.</li><li>Combine GAAP accounting knowledge, operational experience and critical thinking to effectively identify and research complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, lease accounting under ASC 842 and other non-routine transactions.</li><li>Participate actively in automation efforts and other improvement processes.</li></ul>About You <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.</li><li>CPA/CA or equivalent preferred.</li><li>4+ years of related work experience in public accounting and industry.</li><li>Collaborative working style and ability to work cross functionally.</li><li>Ability to work independently and balance multiple responsibilities.</li><li>Strong organization, verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Experience with Oracle ERP system.</li><li>Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and ASC 842 Lease Accounting.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Thorough understanding of US GAAP and operational accounting.</li></ul> At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $99,220 and $149,330 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
