Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role will primarily support the consolidation process for Nextpower’s consolidated financial statements. The successful candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across functions to deliver accurate and timely financial results.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead and support the consolidation process for Nextpower’s consolidated financial statements.</li><li>Review intercompany transactions and ensure proper eliminations.</li><li>Identify, prepare, and post consolidation journal entries.</li><li>Review and validate consolidated results, investigating and resolving variances.</li><li>Generate and review consolidated financial statement reports.</li><li>Maintain appropriate supporting documentation in order to comply with SOX requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing timely and accurate information.</li><li>Learn and leverage the company’s consolidation tool (Oracle FCCS) with the goal of becoming a key power user.</li><li>Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.</li><li>Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial consolidation, or public accounting.</li><li>Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting processes.</li><li>Experience with Oracle FCCS or other consolidation tools strongly preferred.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) a plus.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex financial variances.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>CPA or CPA candidacy highly desirable.</li><li>Experience with SOX compliance and internal control documentation.</li><li>Prior experience in a publicly traded company environment.</li></ul>Nextpower offers a comprehensive benefits package.
