As part of this project, interns don’t just observe—they actively contribute, collaborate with cross-functional professionals, and see their work shape engineering solutions with real business value.​What You’ll Do<ul><li>Orientation Immersion: Participate in a one-week onboarding program to understand GEA’s business landscape and the scope of the Kytero Development project.</li><li>Department Insights: Attend introductory sessions with various departments to gain a broad perspective of GEA’s operations.</li><li>Professional Shadows: Spend your second week shadowing experienced operations and engineering professionals to learn hands-on skills and industry best practices.</li><li>Market Exploration: Dedicate 20% of your time to conducting market research and preparing presentations, focusing on the Application Development projects.</li><li>Engineering Impact: Lead a Business Enhancement or Lean Project under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, highlighting engineering’s role in customer success.</li><li>Project Execution: From weeks 3–12, take ownership of your assigned Pharma/Chem/Mining Development tasks, applying your skills to contribute to operational excellence.</li></ul>Your Profile / Qualifications<ul><li>Full-time enrollment in an accredited engineering program.</li><li>Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering</li><li>Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication abilities.</li><li>Passion for learning and making a meaningful contribution.</li><li>Availability to work 15–20 hours/week during the academic year and full-time during breaks.</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms for extended periods.</li><li>Capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color recognition, depth perception, and focus adjustment.</li><li>Willingness to work in both office and shop environments, with potential exposure to noise, welding, grinding dust, and fumes.</li></ul>Did we spark your interest?
