Occasional travel for team meetings should be expected.Your Role We are seeking a highly motivated Imagery Analyst with deep expertise in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) to support our defence and security customers. You will translate intelligence experience into actionable insights using our evolving datasets, including optical, thermal, and SAR imagery, along with time-series and non-civil datasets.  This role requires bridging traditional defence intelligence with imagery analytics, developing AI/ML and statistical tools to optimise current algorithms, and leveraging geospatial data for mission-critical assessments. You will also represent the organisation in discussions with government and defence stakeholders, including MODs. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Analyse multi-source imagery (satellite, aerial, UAV) and open-source intelligence for defence and security applications. </li><li>Detect, identify, and characterise objects, activities, and changes of interest to support operational and intelligence requirements. </li><li>Perform temporal and spatial analyses, leveraging time-series data to assess threats, monitor areas of concern, and identify anomalies or emerging patterns. </li><li>Integrate imagery findings with geospatial datasets (GIS layers, terrain models, proprietary datasets) to produce comprehensive assessments. </li><li>Develop and optimise analytical tools using machine learning, AI, and statistical methods to enhance imagery exploitation workflows. </li><li>Translate complex intelligence and geospatial findings into clear, concise reports, visualisations, and map-based products for defence stakeholders. </li><li>Collaborate with mission planners, intelligence officers, and technical experts to ensure analytical outputs meet operational requirements. </li><li>Represent the organisation in engagements with MODs, government agencies, and defence partners. </li><li>Stay current with emerging geospatial technologies, sensors, and defence intelligence needs. </li></ul>About youRequired: <ul><li>Master’s degree in Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing, Geography, Intelligence Studies, or related field (or equivalent military/industry experience). </li><li>5+ years of experience in imagery analysis for defence, intelligence, or security applications. </li><li>Strong understanding of EO data, including VNIR, MWIR, LWIR, or SAR.</li><li>Proficiency in geospatial analysis tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI, ERDAS Imagine). </li><li>Experience developing software for imagery analysis (preferred in Python). </li><li>Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. </li><li>Experience with defence-focused tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (TCPED) workflows. </li><li>Familiarity with defence-specific geospatial standards and data formats (e.g., NGA products, STANAGs). </li><li>Knowledge of non-civil datasets used in defence applications. </li><li>Proven experience as a geospatial analyst with expertise in GEOINT. </li><li>Holds or is eligible for security clearance. </li></ul> Nice to Have: <ul><li>Background in military, defence, or intelligence agencies. </li><li>Prior engagement with MODs or government entities on sensitive or critical sites. </li><li>Thermal Imagery analysis.</li><li>Experience with AI/ML-based solutions for imagery exploitation. </li><li>Experience in companies focused on defence and security applications. </li></ul> Why constellr?<ul><li>Be part of an ambitious mission to launch the world’s first commercial thermal infrared constellation. </li></ul><ul><li>Flexible work setup with remote and hybrid options. </li></ul><ul><li>Competitive compensation, including Virtual Share Option Plan (VSOP) for permanent employees. </li></ul><ul><li>Join a team committed to diversity, inclusion, and scientific excellence.  </li></ul>At constellr, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming workplace.
