Pattern Energy Group’s corporate headquarters is in San Francisco.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>JOB PURPOSE The Lead Product Solutions Architect (Lead PSA) serves as the strategic bridge between business vision and technical execution for the HIVE enterprise data and analytics platform. This role exists to ensure that every solution—whether a data pipeline, analytic dashboard, AI model, or integrated workflow—is designed with scalability, governance, and business value at its core.Acting as both architect and advisor, the Lead PSA partners with business leaders to understand their goals, translates them into future-proof technical designs, and ensures solutions are delivered efficiently on the Databricks Lakehouse, Azure, and other enterprise platforms. This position drives the creation of data products that not only meet immediate needs but also enhance trust, quality, and insight generation across the organization. Key AccountabilitiesSolution Architecture &amp; Delivery<ul> <li>Lead the design of end-to-end data products leveraging the Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Data Lake (bronze/silver/gold layers), and related analytics tools.</li> <li>Translate business objectives into technical designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and governance standards.</li> <li>Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or cross-domain solutions that require executive-level engagement and prioritization.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Platform Leads and Senior Product Manager to ensure solution designs are executable within agreed timelines, budgets, and resourcing plans.</li></ul>Business Engagement &amp; Strategic Alignment<ul> <li>Partner with other Product Managers and business stakeholders during ideation, roadmap planning, and intake to ensure solutions are aligned with strategic objectives.</li> <li>Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to define requirements, success criteria, and criticality levels for products.</li> <li>Advocate for HIVE adoption by demonstrating platform capabilities and communicating value to senior business leaders.</li></ul>Governance, Quality, and Compliance<ul> <li>Enforce governance and best practices, including: <ul> <li>Data Terms, Schema, and Reference Data</li> <li>Data Catalog &amp; Business Glossary</li> <li>Master Data Management (MDM)</li> <li>Metadata &amp; Lineage tracking</li> </ul></li> <li>Ensure adherence to file organization structures within the lake (bronze, silver, gold layers) to maintain quality, accessibility, and scalability.</li> <li>Drive data quality processes and partner with the Governance Lead to monitor compliance with standards and policies.</li></ul>Leadership &amp; Enablement<ul> <li>Mentor Product Solutions Architects across business domains, promoting consistency in design and delivery approaches.</li> <li>Champion continuous improvement and innovation within the PSA practice, including reusable design patterns and accelerators.</li> <li>Support cross-team knowledge sharing through documentation, showcases, and collaboration tools.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>EDUCATION/Experience/Qualifications Required Educational Experience<ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field is required.</li> <li>Master’s degree in a related field or MBA is preferred.</li></ul> Work Experience<ul> <li>8+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics, or solution design roles, including 3+ years in a senior or lead capacity.</li> <li>Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.</li> <li>Experience in the renewable energy sector or a similarly complex, data-rich industry is highly desirable.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul> <li>Depth of knowledge regarding corporate SaaS business and financial system integrations including, but not limited to ERP, CRM, and CLM.</li> <li>Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.</li> <li>Expertise in Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure DevOps, and enterprise BI/AI platforms.</li> <li>Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, cataloguing, business glossary, and MDM.</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.</li> <li>Experience working in Agile environments and managing competing priorities.</li> <li>Ability to translate business challenges into scalable, governed data solutions and product frameworks.</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul> <li>Expertise in: Product Lifecycle Management, Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies, Azure DevOps.</li> <li>Proficient with: Backlog grooming, KPI tracking, SharePoint, data governance and quality frameworks.</li> <li>Experience/Exposure to: Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, LucidChart/Spark, Monday.com, Oracle, Salesforce, Agiloft, custom analytics and workflow applications.</li></ul> The expected starting pay range for this role is $118,000 - $160,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
