As a key contributor, the Senior Accountant must be experienced, proactive, and analytical, and ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across all levels.</span></div><br><br><h3>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Lead monthly, quarterly, and  annual close processes in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and   timeliness.</li><li>Manage general ledger activities  and reconciliations across multiple entities and international subsidiaries.</li><li>Prepare, analyze, and present management reports to  support strategic decision-making and financial planning.</li><li>Maintain and improve internal  controls and accounting processes to support organizational scalability.</li><li>Oversee and review accounts  payable and receivable processes, including donor invoicing and collections.</li><li>Manage and improve inventory  accounting and ensure proper tracking of manufacturing transactions.</li><li>Support fixed asset tracking,  year-end audit preparation, and financial compliance.</li></ul><h3>Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).</li><li>4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in nonprofit, manufacturing, or international settings.</li><li>Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with international accounting practices.</li><li>Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environments.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (Xero experience preferred) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulas).</li><li>Familiarity with donor or grant reporting, fund accounting, and restricted/unrestricted funds is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and financial compliance.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and present insights to management.</li><li>Experience preparing schedules and support for external audits or financial reviews.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.</li><li>Comfortable working in a fully remote environment and across time zones.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with global teams, vendors, and donors.</li><li>Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus.</li><li>Experience with Xero is a plus.</li><li>Bilingual is a plus, particularly in Spanish, French, or Swahili.</li><li>Passion for mission-driven work and a strong commitment to GivePower’s goals.</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:18px;">Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 annually </span></div><div><br></div><div><b style="font-size:15px;">Additional Information Regarding Job Duties and Job Descriptions:</b></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:15px;">Job duties include additional responsibilities as assigned by one's supervisor or other managers related to the position/department.
