AECOM is actively seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing Environmental team in Ontario. The ideal candidate could work out of any of our office locations throughout Ontario. This is a Full-time role. We are looking for candidates that have a can-do attitude, are enthusiastic, team-oriented professionals, with a strong technical background; an engineering designation (P.Eng, .ing) is preferred and, field/project management experience is also an asset.This position offers the opportunity to work on various civil/geotechnical engineering projects in a multi-discipline project team environment. In this role you will be responsible for developing cost effective, practical civil/geotechnical engineering designs and construction solutions for our clients. This immediate need requires the applicant to have strong technical design as well as communication and organizational skills to manage projects and act as a technical resource for the team.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Provide geotechnical project technical support in support of on-going AECOM projects.</li><li>Work with other geotechnical staff in Ontario/Quebec markets as well as across Canada to provide the geotechnical project management and design services to current and prospective clients.</li><li>Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, subcontractors, engineering consultants and other external agencies</li><li>Frequent travel to complete field investigation assignments which include but may not be limited to:  Borehole drilling investigations and forensic geotechnical assessment projects</li><li>Prepare proposals for projects of varying complexity for various geotechnical scopes of work.</li><li>Carry out geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting related to transportation, municipal, building, environmental, and energy projects.</li></ul>This description above is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee.
