We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What you’ll do:<ul><li>Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for aircraft design</li><li>Lead a cross-functional team to:</li><ul><li>Conduct operational and functional analysis, </li><li>Define and decompose system requirements with traceability through overall system architecture</li><li>Develop robust system/subsystem architectures along with interface definition</li><li>Define and manage technical/programmatic performance measures (i.e. cost, weight, performance objectives)</li><li>Enable full system safety compliance to the appropriate regulations </li></ul><li>Work with various technical disciplines to develop verification plans, support verification/test planning, and conduct to demonstrate compliance with system requirements</li><li>Coordinate with regulators and DERs on the development and review of certification substantiation artifacts</li><li>Work closely with the chief engineer to ensure the product meets desired business and certification requirements</li></ul>What you need:<ul><li>5+ years of engineering experience on aerospace projects with significant software and complex hardware </li><li>BS, MS, or PhD in systems engineering, electrical engineer, general engineering, computer engineering, or a comparable degree</li><li>Proven expertise in SAE ARP4754 and ARP4761 processes or similar standards</li><li>Experience working with RTCA DO-178 and DO-254</li><li>Experience with Polarion or other requirements management tools</li><li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills and engineering judgment</li></ul>Bonus qualifications: <ul><li>Experience with system safety (FMEA, FTA, HSA)</li><li>Test experience</li><li>Operations experience</li><li>Specialty engineering experience.</li></ul>Archer is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
