Our mission is to lead the planning and execution of all vehicle level development tests to ensure we are delivering a quality product that meets customer needs. This position requires a professional with relevant experience testing early-stage prototype vehicles as well as production-ready vehicles. Our ideal candidate exhibits a strong drive, outstanding teamwork and collaboration within a startup environment, and has had prior automotive product development experience. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting time to join the team as we continue development on the Lucid Gravity and all future products.<br> <br>RESPONSIBILITIES:<br> <br>Vehicle(s) Ownership<br>•Be responsible for the test vehicle fleet of a program, track and report fleet status to program teams.<br>•Work with Fleet Management team to ensure all test vehicles are updated with the required HW and SW configurations to meet test requirements.<br> <br>Test Planning &amp; Scheduling<br>•Create vehicle test plans for the program through the entire development process.<br>•Support collation of program Design Verification/Validation Plan (DVP) test items.<br>•Actively field test requests from other teams and assign test requests to junior members based on availability.<br>•Ensure vehicles are setup correctly by junior engineers to meet all test requirements<br>•Be a leader for all program test activities, maximizing utilization, test safety and efficiency.<br> <br>Vehicle Testing &amp; Issue Reporting<br>•Support all cross-functional teams for gathering test requirements, executing tests and keeping all relevant stakeholders updated on progress.<br>•Execute vehicle-level test plans in lab, proving grounds and public road settings.<br>•Collect accurate vehicle data per test requirements, to troubleshoot issues and provide feedback to the relevant stakeholders.<br>•Document all test results and create technical reports in a clear and concise manner, as well as review test data and reports from junior engineers.<br>•Identify and report all issues with the relevant details, data and test logs.<br>•Maintain a summary of triaged program issues, report, escalate and advocate for issue resolution by program milestones.<br>•Track and report DVP status, program readiness and risks to all relevant stakeholders.<br>•Some domestic and international travel to test sites and fleet drives.<br> <br>Other: <br>•Mentor junior engineers throughout the vehicle development process.<br>•Drive organizational or procedural improvements identified through various activities.<br> <br> <br>RequiredQualifications: <br> <br>•5+ years of experience in the automotive or relevant industry.<br>•Experience with vehicle testing on proving grounds and fleet drives.<br>•A strong understanding of vehicle systems and system interactions.<br>•A strong understanding of vehicle testing standards.<br>•Strong data analysis and reporting experience.<br>•A strong knowledge of automotive testing instrumentation and tools.<br>•Experience setting up vehicles for specific test requirements.<br>•Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills coupled with a strong work ethic.<br>•Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and resources at the same time.<br>•Self-starter with high levels of motivation and comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of projects.<br> <br>Education: Bachelor of Science minimum in a relevant science or engineering field<br> <br>Preferred:<br>•Experience testing fully electric vehicles.<br>•Licensed by an OEM/Supplier/professional authority to drive prototype test vehicles.<br>•Masters' degree in a relevant engineering field.</p><div><div><div><div><strong>Salary Range</strong>: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
