The team is accountable for the technical and commercial performance of our ESS supply chain, driving quality, cost, and delivery outcomes across a complex global supplier base.   About The Role - Supplier Industrialization Engineer - ESS The ESS SCM Team is seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to drive the readiness, ramp, and ongoing performance of key manufacturing partners and component suppliers for ESS. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that critical suppliers can meet our technical, quality, and delivery requirements as we scale production of our next-generation energy storage systems.   You’ll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management teams to qualify new suppliers, develop scalable production processes, and troubleshoot issues in real time. This is a high-impact role at the center of building a reliable, world-class hardware supply chain.   What You'll Do (Responsibilities) <ul><li>Lead scoping, development and qualification of new suppliers through quality management system assessments and audits.  </li></ul><ul><li>Partner with product design, manufacturing engineering and supplier teams to ensure DfX (Design for X) feedback is incorporated early into product and process design. </li></ul><ul><li>Own supplier readiness milestones as part of NPI and production ramp plans.  </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with suppliers to develop and validate manufacturing processes, production lines, test procedures, and in-line quality controls. </li></ul><ul><li>Drive first article inspections, process capability studies, and PPAP Documentation as needed for new components and manufacturing processes.  </li></ul><ul><li>Identify and drive root cause analysis of non-conformances and subsequent implementation of corrective and preventive action. </li></ul><ul><li>Support capacity planning and yield improvements to ensure suppliers can meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.  </li></ul><ul><li>Travel to supplier sites as needed for audits, builds, and joint problem-solving (~20–30%). </li></ul> What You'll Bring (Qualifications) <ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or demonstrated excellence in supplier industrialization or supplier quality.  </li></ul><ul><li>5+ years of experience in supplier industrialization, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or similar role.  </li></ul><ul><li>Hands-on experience ramping production of complex electromechanical products, preferably in energy, automotive, aerospace, or contract manufacturing environments  </li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in 3D CAD Software (preferably CATIA) and Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing  </li></ul><ul><li>Strong knowledge of one or more of the following manufacturing processes: Sheet Metal Manufacturing (LASER Cutting, Turret Punching, Press Brake Forming, etc.), Stamping, Welding, Injection Molding, Wire Harness Mfg., Printed Circuit Board Assembly, and Electromechanical Assembly.  </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, Process FMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control, Root Cause Analysis and other industrialization tools.  </li></ul><ul><li>Strong communication and project management skills; ability to reach consensus with internal and external stakeholders.  </li></ul><ul><li>Proven ability to collaborate with suppliers to solve technical and operational issues  </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to thrive in ambiguity and bring structure to a fast-paced start up environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovation.   </li></ul><ul><li>Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~20 – 30%).  </li></ul><ul><li>Eligibility to work in the U.S.  </li></ul> Preferred Qualifications  <ul><li>Experience working with contract manufacturers   </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with energy storage systems, batteries, or complex electromechanical products.  </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of ERP and PLM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Arena)   </li></ul> Peak Energy is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
