Oversees MTBUR tracking, root cause investigations, reliability modeling, and reporting. Interfaces with OEMs, airlines, suppliers, and internal teams to drive corrective actions and enhance product dependability.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Reliability Monitoring &amp; Reporting:<ul><li>Track and analyze Global MTBUR and MTBF metrics across product lines.</li><li>Generate monthly reliability reports including field return rates, Pareto charts, defect trend analysis, and corrective action status.</li><li>Maintain dashboards for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and present findings to executive leadership.</li></ul></li><li>Failure Analysis &amp; Corrective Actions:<ul><li>Lead root cause investigations using tools such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, and Fault Tree Analysis.</li><li>Translate repair station findings and customer returns into actionable data.</li><li>Manage the Failure Review and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) and ensure timely resolution of reliability issues.</li></ul></li><li>New Product Reliability Engineering:<ul><li>Develop and execute reliability plans for new electronic products, including:<ul><li>Reliability block diagrams and predictions (MTBF/MTBUR).</li><li>Maintainability analysis and SEU (Single Event Upset) assessments.</li><li>Functional and design-level FMEA.</li></ul></li><li>Support Entry-into-Service (EIS) reliability planning and performance tracking.</li></ul></li><li>Customer &amp; Supplier Engagement:<ul><li>Respond to OEM and airline customer reliability inquiries with detailed analysis and corrective action proposals.</li><li>Collaborate with suppliers to ensure component-level reliability and effective failure analysis.</li><li>Conduct reliability reviews and working group meetings with internal and external stakeholders.</li></ul></li><li>Data Management &amp; Escalation:<ul><li>Manage field returns database and ensure data integrity for trend analysis.</li><li>Review chronic and “No Fault Found” returns for deeper investigation.</li><li>Escalate potential quality escapes or systemic issues to senior leadership.</li></ul></li></ul>Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly manage the Reliability Department Staff: Reliability Engineer(s) and Reliability Data Analyst.Supervisory responsibilities to be carried out in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
