This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings deep expertise in transportation procurement within a manufacturing or technology-driven organization. You Will: <ul><li>Lead sourcing and procurement for transportation-related categories, including—but not limited to—freight (inbound/outbound), third-party logistics (3PL), warehousing, customs brokerage, and fleet services. </li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal) to define transportation requirements and develop procurement strategies that optimize cost, service levels, and operational efficiency. </li><li>Drive supplier identification, qualification, and selection processes for logistics partners, including RFIs, RFQs, and contract negotiations. </li><li>Analyze proposals and develop recommendations balancing cost, transit time, reliability, and compliance with international trade regulations. </li><li>Negotiate and manage contracts with transportation and logistics providers to ensure performance, scalability, and alignment with Lucid’s global supply chain goals. </li><li>Oversee purchase order creation, delivery tracking, and issue resolution for transportation services. </li><li>Support operational and administrative tasks related to transportation procurement execution, including invoice reconciliation and KPI tracking. </li></ul>You Bring: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, logistics, engineering, or a related field. </li><li>3-5 years of experience in transportation procurement, logistics sourcing, or strategic sourcing within a manufacturing or automotive environment. </li><li>Ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including operations, finance, and legal. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and resilience in managing urgent logistics requests with limited information. </li><li>Solid analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent). </li></ul>Preferred Experience: <ul><li>Strategic sourcing using Coupa or similar platforms. </li><li>Experience with freight cost modeling, carrier performance management, and logistics contract structures. </li><li>Familiarity with international trade compliance, Incoterms, and customs documentation. </li><li>Exposure to cross-functional project coordination involving transportation or supply chain systems. </li></ul><div><div>Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
