Summary of Position As a Production Lead Hand, you will operate your assigned section of the production line to ensure the safe and efficient production of solar panels. This includes supervising a small team of operators, placement and testing of electrical components, cleaning of finished products, and/or loading of raw materials into machines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul><li>Ensure all operations staff are following and executing all operations and equipment safely.   </li><li>Escalate any safety concern to your Shift Supervisor immediately upon observation.   </li><li>Oversee and provide constant training and technical assistance to all operation staff ensuring they are following all work instructions and best practices.   </li><li>Report any defective/non-conforming product or behavior to your Shift Supervisor immediately upon observation.   </li><li>Perform quality control as required by the work instructions and as instructed by the production and quality leaders and staff.   </li><li>Ensure traceability of the product and its components through proper use of the Data Collection System, ensuring that the system is always active and functional.   </li><li>Check and ensure the minimum stock of raw materials in production necessary to fulfill the production schedule, refilling and ordering as required.   </li><li>Solve “first level of maintenance issues " on production equipment in collaboration with the Maintenance Technician and following all procedures.   </li><li>Work with the Maintenance Technician to resolve maintenance problems at a higher level.   </li><li>Meet with the Lead Hands and Shift Supervisors of the previous and subsequent shifts, transferring information about problems and solutions implemented during their shift.   </li><li>Inform the Shift Supervisor about issues regarding production, quality, process and/or organization of personnel or resources immediately upon observation.   </li><li>Propose to the Shift Supervisor improvements to all procedures and processes.   </li><li>Substitute for any operation staff in any area during breaks and/or absences   </li><li>Work overtime as required.   </li><li>Minimize the risk of accidents and quality issues.   </li><li>Maximize the technical knowledge and the engagement of the operations staff, the uptime of the equipment and the quality of the finished product.   </li><li>Maximize the traceability of the product.   </li><li>Achieve the production goals and improvements outlined by the Shift Supervisor   </li><li>Build the spirit of cooperation.   </li><li>Complete other tasks as directed and required.   </li></ul>
