Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain facility equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining spare parts’ inventory levels.</li><li>Perform repairs on equipment to restore it to proper and safe working conditions.</li><li>Take data readings, and maintain logs to conform with local, state and federal requirements.</li><li>Troubleshoot process operations and adjust as necessary to maintain optimal performance.</li><li>Use handheld instruments such as voltage meter, LEL meter, gas detection meter, pH meter etc.</li><li>Ensure the production schedule is not jeopardized due to process or equipment breakdown, or unsafe operating conditions.</li><li>Always follow LOTO procedures on unsafe equipment or equipment being serviced.</li><li>Complete work orders to ensure preventive/predictive maintenance per manufacturers recommendations.</li><li>Maintain organized work areas to comply with housekeeping and 5-S requirements.</li><li>Complete electrical and mechanical repairs/projects based on direction given from the Facilities Manager.</li><li>Maintain safety as a priority and adhere to all environmental rules and regulations.</li><li>Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects and special assignments as directed by Facility Manager</li><li>Be able to participate as an on-site emergency response team member.</li><li>Follow PSM, RMP, and Permit requirements by maintaining equipment and documentation associated with the performance, maintenance and repair of the processes and equipment falling under these requirements.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Experience in operating a process and the ability to troubleshoot and correct process operations.</li><li>Experience with chemical handling and safe work practices associated with chemical handling.</li><li>Knowledge of WWT processes, mechanical chillers, boilers, HVAC units, pumps, gauges, valves, etc.</li><li>Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting with the ability to use hand and power tools.</li><li>Excellent inter-personal and communication skills</li></ul>Traits<ul><li>Motivated individuals that are team oriented.</li><li>High degree of attention to detail, precision and follow through.</li></ul>
