This role ensures equipment reliability, maintenance standards, and service levels for complex commercial technology systems, including Food, Metals and Glass, Water, Generated Gases, HES, Biomed, and Welding applications equipment.What will you do?<ul><li>Serve as the primary technical authority for all applications equipment.</li><li>Respond to technical queries and provide governance in line with AP, industry, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Issue technical bulletins and review eMOC proposals for technical changes.</li><li>Drive innovation and improvement across engineering through technical solutions.</li><li>Develop and deliver technical training programs for engineering teams and contractors.</li><li>Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and process optimization for applications installations.</li><li>Act as the link between projects and maintenance teams during commissioning and optimization phases.</li><li>Provide technical guidance for retrofit and improvement programs.</li><li>Lead PSSR activities for UKI Engineering to ensure compliance with PSSR regulations, ISO 17020, and PED.</li><li>Full-time member of the UKI PSSR Steering Committee.</li><li>Review and sign off written schemes of examination for complex systems.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of current industry standards (BCGA, EIGA) and implement changes as required.</li><li>Provide technical support to commercial teams for equipment sales and maintenance services.</li><li>Assist in contract roll and asset reuse projects.</li><li>Interface with customers to support projects, technical coordinators, and supervisors.</li><li>Support maintenance teams to achieve service levels for generator plants.</li><li>Develop maintenance costing for complex systems and manage GGG maintenance budgets.</li><li>Create sparing strategies and maintenance plans to ensure reliability.</li><li>Collaborate with central technical teams to improve plant efficiency.</li><li>Develop and deliver applications maintenance training programs.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with design teams to ensure installation and commissioning requirements are met.</li><li>Lead troubleshooting efforts and RCA investigations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with revalidation plans for all pressure vessels.</li><li>Monitor upcoming revalidation jobs on COMAH sites and report compliance.</li></ul>What are we looking for?<ul><li>Engineering Degree or equivalent technical qualification.</li><li>Valid driver’s license.</li><li>CI qualification (advantageous).</li><li>Good experience in an engineering role with operations/field</li><li>Experience in installation, design, and maintenance across a broad range of applications equipment and Generated Gases systems.</li><li>Strong customer service orientation.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot under pressure.</li><li>Excellent understanding of operational safety.</li><li>People management experience.</li><li>Proven experience in RCA leadership and technical training delivery.</li></ul>We are the world’s largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
