AECOM is seeking a Sr. Project Manager - Transit-Rail position in the Denver, CO. office. This is a key position and will report to the US West Region Transit/Rail Engineering Department.JOB SUMMARY:The position includes responsibility for business development, management of transit studies, preliminary design and final design of transit infrastructure projects including BRT, LRT, Streetcar, Commuter Rail, Heavy Rail, and High-Speed Rail throughout the western United States. Clients can include Colorado Department of Transportation, City and County of Denver, DART, LA Metro, BART, Caltrans, San Diego MTS, UTA, RTD and more. The successful candidate may be asked to serve as an AECOM team and/or discipline lead, project manager and/or technical task leader on selected projects and will coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others in the AECOM US West Region.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.</li><li>Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.</li><li>Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.</li><li>Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.</li><li>Identifies discrepancies in results.</li><li>Provides guidance to entry level engineers.</li><li>Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.</li><li>Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.</li><li>Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.</li></ul>
