This Engineer III position reports to the Manager, PMC Design Engineering – Electrical.<h2></h2><h2>Responsibilities</h2>The Engineer works as a member of the project team to support all phases of major projects, from initial project scoping and development to performance testing and final project close-out.  These responsibilities include:<ul><li>Support development phase of major project scope and EPC bid package documentation.</li><li>Support the interconnection design and agreements for development stage projects and ensure project contract documentation aligns with interconnection scope.</li><li>Support cost estimate, schedule, risk analysis, bid evaluation and contract development. </li><li>Provide engineering oversight to ensure compliance with project requirements, design criteria, as well as applicable Duke Energy and Industry Standards.</li><li>Participate in design reviews, drawing reviews, construction support, resolution of technical RFIs, commissioning support, performance testing and project warranty support.</li><li>Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches with the ability to conduct analysis and recommend process enhancements and standards related to area of assignment.</li><li>Conduct and review power system related studies.</li><li>Assist in the accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities under the guidance of higher-level employees.</li><li>Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
