The right candidate must be competent to carry out, review, and analyze complex technical studies and project scopes, along with the ability to develop and review technical specifications, drawings and standards. This position will work closely with other engineers in the office and throughout the organization in the successful delivery of the projects.The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Collaborate with GIS and CAD professionals to prepare maps, drawings, and other details. </li><li>Oversee engineering teams in the preparation of feasibility studies, technical drawings and engineering reports. </li><li>Coordinate with project managers, other engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Identify and mitigate project risks.</li><li>Lead the quality control of civil works (roads, grading, utility placement, etc.), ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Conduct site inspections and audits as necessary.</li><li>Review existing and develop new internal standards for incorporation into project delivery. </li><li>Attend in-person, field, and online meetings with contractors to provide support and engineering guidance advancing design efforts. </li><li>Evaluate site development designs for cost-saving opportunities and consistencies in design.  </li><li>Conduct constructability reviews. </li><li>Prepare detailed project documentation, including design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and reports. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with industry standards.</li><li>Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multidisciplinary global project teams. </li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including PV, BESS, and Wind.</li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one state in the USA.</li><li>Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and PVcase.
