Mechanical Design EngineerSUMMARY:Aeroseal is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer that will assist us in our mission by designing, developing and releasing new, innovative solutions and products for the construction and home improvement industry.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:<ul> <li>BSME or equivalent</li> <li>3+ years relevant, demonstratable experience in a design and product release role.</li> <li>CAD/CAE Proficiency</li> <li>Ability to work both within a team setting as well as individually</li> <li>Great communication skills. Ability to provide direction to technical staff in clear, concise manner, as well as provide program updates to management/team-mates.</li> <li>Fully fluent/functional with MS Office tools suite</li> <li>Ability to internalize project requirements and deadlines, holding a keen sense of delivery to corporate, team and individual objectives.</li> <li>A hands-on approach to design of experiments and executing tests</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul> <li>Work within a defined Product Development Process to: Create Product/System Requirements Documents</li> <li>Create robust design solutions that meet performance and manufacturing requirements.</li> <li>Design for Manufacturability/Serviceability; Continuous improvement</li> <li>Develop DFMEA and DVP documents for the designs</li> <li>Assist Manufacturing and Quality Engineering as they develop Process, Process FMEA, Production test tools, Control Plans, Quality plan and metrics</li> <li>Test as per the design DVP and document results with clear, concise reports.</li> <li>Review vendor component technical data sheets, source components (both off-shelf and custom designs).</li> <li>Create new technical drawings and specifications, defining critical performance characteristics.</li> <li>Conduct and support field trials of the developed products.</li> <li>Creation of Bill of Material structures in conjunction with the manufacturing process.</li> <li>Other duties, as assigned.</li></ul>The estimated pay range for this role is $80,000-$120,000. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and job location.
