Come join our dynamic Team!At our Denver North Carolina facility, we are seeking a qualified Welder who is proficient experience in aluminum Tig and Mig welding, for (2nd Shift) Monday - Friday.  The Welder welds and assembles metal components as identified in production orders and by following specific work instructions. In exchange for your hard work, you will be compensated with a competitive wage. Position SummaryWelds and assembles metal components as identified in production orders and by following specific work instructions. This position has three (3) levels; A, B, and C. Level C is an entry level position and Level A is the highest. In order to be considered for Level A or B the employee must meet the requirements of all lower levels. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLEVEL C:<ul><li>Attend work on the schedule established by the employer and without excessive absenteeism.</li><li>Follow all safe work practices to include wearing all required PPE.</li><li>Must be able to have a basic understanding of the interpretation of blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to determine appropriate welding process.</li><li>Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.</li><li>Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment.</li><li>Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding).</li><li>Examine weld for part specifications, Grind or clean weld joint of work piece, and repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes.</li><li>Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig fixture.</li><li>Assemble component parts using hand and small power tools. </li><li>Leak test as needed.</li><li>May change hoses, fittings, air valves, suspension parts, etc.</li><li>Cleanup work area daily.</li><li>Must pass HYDAC Basic Weld Test within the first 90 days from date of hire. (Denver location only)</li></ul>LEVEL B:<ul><li>Interprets blueprints, specifications and diagrams with minimal guidance in order to determine appropriate welding process.</li><li>Familiar with Welding standards and concepts, practices, and procedures.</li><li>Relies on Welding experience to plan and accomplish goals.</li></ul>LEVEL A:<ul><li>Will work with minimal supervision. Considered an accomplished welder who can interpret blue prints, and customer requirements with consistent and reliable outcomes.</li><li>Can handle complex Welding projects using experience and knowledge attained in similar positions.</li><li>May be asked to lead or direct other Welders.</li></ul>Skills and Attributes<ul><li>Understand and apply welding techniques; work quickly and skillfully with the hands; accept responsibility for the work performed; visualize what the finished product should look like.</li><li>Operate welding equipment with skill.</li></ul>Education and ExperienceLEVEL C:<ul><li>High School or GED diploma required.</li><li>0-2 Years experience in Industrial Aluminum Welding, Wire-feed welding,</li><li>Mechanical w/hydraulics, Wrenching experience, Fabrications with welding and layout.</li></ul>LEVEL B:<ul><li>2-4 Years experience in Industrial Aluminum Welding.</li></ul>LEVEL A:<ul><li>5 Years of Aluminum Welding experience.</li><li>Experience as a Supervisor would be a plus.</li><li>Steel/Aluminum experience needed</li></ul>Safety and Personal Protective Equipment<ul><li>Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities.
