Join our outstanding team and help shape the future of energy. Position Specific DescriptionNextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division is looking for a Senior Engineer for the Steam Turbine Fleet Team (STFT) in Engineering and Operations Support Services (EOSS). This position will include responsibilities for leading technical support for a large fleet of steam turbines both fossil and nuclear units, with ownership of troubleshooting, work/outage planning, and fleet reliability improvements. Additionally, this role will include working on strategic initiatives with the ongoing Reimagine and FCWE efforts to reduce forced outage rates, O&amp;M expense, and to improve overall fleet reliability and availability. The STFT Senior Engineer will work with plant personnel in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues and will own and be accountable for a number of key tasks including:<ul><li>Lead trouble shooting and technical decision making for fleet assets, ensuring consistency across the fleet.</li><li>Manage documentation and currency of Engineering Requests, Work Orders, OEM Bulletins and MOCs in Maximo.</li><li>Actively participate in strategic/proactive efforts to improve productivity and advance fleet reliability.</li><li>Support parts planning and annual budget planning, ensuring that plans account for fleet lessons learned.</li><li>Support the nuclear fleet with during regular refueling outages and special turbine projects.</li><li>Off hour support- Typically involves fairly frequent phone consultations.</li><li>This position includes providing onsite technical support during outages as needed.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Turbomachinery engineering experience</li><li>Field engineering experience</li><li>Demonstrated troubleshooting and/or field experience</li><li>Strong communications/presentation skills</li><li>Six Sigma certification</li></ul>
