Our mission is to master short-term energy-intensive markets, including Intraday Continuous. This is not just another engineering role. You will join a small, highly talented team at a moment of expansion and help us build a robust trading system that can adapt to new opportunities, scale with the company’s growth, and excel in an ever-changing energy landscape. What You’ll Do: <ul><li>Build the backbone of our trading system: Design, implement, and maintain scalable pipelines and resilient infrastructure for deploying, versioning, and backtesting trading algorithms in both auction-based and continuous markets. </li><li>Shape trading strategies: Partner closely with algorithmic traders, energy experts, and engineers to design and deploy execution and optimization algorithms that maximize profitability across multiple wholesale markets. </li><li>Strengthen data-driven trading: Collaborate with the Data Platform team to ensure robust ingestion and processing of signals, logs, and market data, supporting both fast intraday trading and strategic long-term insights. </li><li>Elevate engineering practices: Champion best practices in software engineering, infrastructure-as-code, and MLOps to accelerate iteration while ensuring system reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. </li><li>Mentor and grow the team: Share your expertise, guide less experienced colleagues, and contribute to building a culture of curiosity, speed, and technical rigor. </li></ul>Who You Are: <ul><li>Seasoned expert: 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying algorithmic trading models, or building the systems that host them, ideally across continuous and auction-based markets. </li><li>Engineering leader: Strong programming skills (Python preferred) and deep expertise in building robust MLOps and cloud-native solutions.
