AECOM is seeking a talented Data Cloud Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts.  As a Data Engineer, your primary focus will be on leveraging cloud platforms to build and maintain robust data solutions. You will:1. Cloud-Based Data Infrastructure:<ul><li>Design and implement scalable data storage solutions using cloud services such as AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, or Google Cloud Storage.</li><li>Build and manage cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics).</li><li>Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency.</li></ul>2. Data Pipeline Development:<ul><li>Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-native tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).</li><li>Automate data ingestion and transformation processes from diverse sources, ensuring scalability and reliability.</li></ul>3. Cloud Orchestration &amp; Automation:<ul><li>o Implement workflow orchestration using tools like Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or Google Composer.</li><li>o Automate deployment and monitoring of data solutions using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).</li></ul>4. Data Governance &amp; Security:<ul><li>Ensure data security and compliance with cloud-specific best practices (e.g., IAM roles, encryption, access controls).</li><li>Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and infrastructure using cloud-native monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Stackdriver).</li></ul>5. Collaboration &amp; Stakeholder Engagement:<ul><li>Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver cloud-based solutions.</li><li>Provide documentation and technical support for cloud data systems.</li></ul>6. Continuous Learning:<ul><li>Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and data engineering best practices.</li><li>Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to code reviews.</li></ul>This position will offer a hybrid work schedule, including both remote and in office work arrangements based from our office in Bucharest.
