<h1>Partnerships Associate</h1>Location: Remote, United States <div></div> <a href="https://tradewater.co">Tradewater</a> is a B Corp and mission-based project development company that is in business to prevent catastrophic climate change. Tradewater believes that a company committed to cleaning up the environment can be just as successful – if not more so – than a company that achieves its goals without regard to environmental impact.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Non-CO2 gases account for nearly half of all global warming from human activity since 1970. Our work, referred to as “emergency brake solutions” by <a href="https://drawdown.org/news/insights/hitting-the-%E2%80%9Cemergency-brake%E2%80%9D-on-climate">Project Drawdown</a>, is essential to prevent catastrophic climate change. Our projects include the destruction of halocarbons, such as refrigerants, that are potent greenhouse gases and deplete the ozone layer. We also find, measure, and plug orphaned oil and gas wells that have no solvent operator and are leaking methane into the atmosphere. To date, we have permanently prevented over 10 million tons of CO2e from reaching the atmosphere and we are on a path to surpass 27 million tons of CO2e by the end of 2027.&nbsp; &nbsp; The Opportunity&nbsp; &nbsp; To support its growth in the United States, Tradewater is seeking a Partnerships Associate to support the ongoing relationships with Tradewater’s key customers and develop new partnerships. This position will build relationships and rapport with new and existing customers, ensure excellent customer service, and provide support for product development efforts.&nbsp; Strong candidates for this position will be interested in preforming cold outbound sales work including research, prospecting, qualifying, and closing new deals. It will be important to learn and become conversant in new and technical information related to Tradewater’s work. An ideal candidate will be energetic, resilient, articulate, able to work independently, and will be tenacious in owning the sales process from prospecting through closing.&nbsp; While Tradewater is based in Chicago, it has offices and team members around the world. This position can be based remotely within the United States, with the understanding that travel may be required. The position will report to the Partnerships Manager based in the Washington, DC area.&nbsp; Applications for this position will be accepted through October 24, 2025. Key responsibilities include:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Build and maintain relationships with potential customers and partners to ensure long-term retention and ongoing cooperation.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Design ideal customer profiles of potential partners in order to inform prospecting and outreach efforts.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Generate and qualify a pipeline of leads through market research and outreach campaigns. &nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct outreach to target partners via email, phone, in-person meetings, and networking channels in order to generate and qualify a pipeline of leads.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Effectively nurture leads throughout the entirety of a long sales cycle in an effort to close deals and establish long-term partnerships.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Support the development of content and marketing materials to aid in outreach and brand building activities.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Communicate effectively on behalf of Tradewater, both verbally and in writing, about the work that we do. &nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Manage the tracking of outreach efforts and record activities via the use of Tradewater’s CRM.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Handle internal and external paperwork and process necessary to close deals and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Assist partners on an ongoing basis, promoting the value of Tradewater projects and finding opportunities for mutual wins.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and other work-related travel; expected to be 5-10% annually.&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp; Requirements:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>2-3 years of sales and/or account management experience preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Experience and ability to research and build sales target lists informed by customer profiles and market research.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Experience conducting cold outreach, moving potential customers through a sales pipeline, and closing deals.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Great interpersonal skills and professionalism.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Tenacity to own the sales process from prospecting through closing.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to successfully execute paperwork and processes with strict attention to detail.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Strong English language skills are required.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Able to work independently, in a professional and remote environment.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Capacity to synthesize information in a clear and well-organized manner.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, including communicating highly technical subject matter. &nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent organizational skills.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Resiliency in overcoming objections and managing complex sales cycles.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>High attention to detail.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Results-driven and target-driven attitude.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Commitment to Tradewater's mission.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul> The Application Process &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; If you are passionate about Tradewater’s mission and think you can be successful in this role, even if you don't check all the boxes, please apply.
