We are present on four continents and are headquartered in Oslo, Norway. Main purpose of positionCurrently we are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision –Improving our future.  The Senior Compliance Officer will support and oversee compliance with regulatory and legal frameworks, contractual obligations, and internal policies and procedures in respect of specific projects, activities and/or offices linked to and (ideally) located in a specific region although there may be workstreams outside of that region.  The role is authorized and expected to identify and support the implementation of actions necessary to ensure effective compliance programs within the Scatec Group. Main responsibilities: Special focus on compliance with anti-corruption and personal data protection, and in coordination with Scatec Group Compliance and other relevant functions within Scatec<ul> <li>Provide Legal advice and assessments regarding identified risks and potential remedial actions, with a particular focus on business development and robust contractual requirements</li> <li>Governing Framework and Policies and Procedures - initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures relevant to Scatec’s operations to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct</li> <li>Risk assessments support and implement Scatec’s risk assessment policy and procedure to identify risks related to the failure to comply with laws, regulations, and industry standards</li> <li>Integrity Due Diligence: support and advance process of investigating and evaluating the ethical standards, reputation, and trustworthiness of a company, individual, or potential counterparties. Identify whether there are any risks related to unethical behaviour, legal violations, corruption, fraud, forced labour or other misconduct that could affect the success, reputation, or legal standing of Scatec.
