AECOM is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern to join our Building and Places Division in Atlanta, United States, with a specialization in fueling system infrastructure. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students or approaching graduates to gain hands-on experience in the design and delivery of complex fuel system projects, including facilities for the receipt, storage, transfer, and distribution of aviation jet fuel, diesel fuel, ethanol, and motor gasoline.This position is expected to begin in Summer 2026.Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects that make a real-world impact. Additionally, AECOM’s dedication to innovation and sustainability enables interns to contribute to meaningful projects that help shape communities and the built environment.The responsibility of this position includes, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Assist with the design and development of civil engineering components for fueling system infrastructure under the supervision of senior engineers.</li><li>Support the preparation of site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management, and utility designs related to fuel system projects.</li><li>Perform engineering calculations and analysis using industry-standard software tools</li><li>Create and modify technical drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD and other relevant software</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively</li><li>Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas for problem-solving and process improvements</li><li>Assist in the preparation of reports and other technical documents</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations relevant to civil engineering projects</li><li>Support the development and implementation of quality control measures</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies</li></ul>
